Cliff Dwellers Lodge

Me and my fiancé came here for the lodging and kayak rental in the Colorado River for our 5 year anniversary in early October. We LOVED it. The lady that runs the shop was so informational about the area and places to eat/shop/views to see/things to do. Super friendly service! The restaurant food was okay, but super convenient to have right there at the lodge not far from your room. Scenery around the area was beautiful as well for the outdoor dining. Evening drinks after a busy day being a tourist was relaxing. The rooms were comfortable and basic for your needs. They sell the blankets they use on the beds because they are so cute! They were sold out when I was there but the front desk lady told me how to order my own. (Again very helpful) I would definitely recommend this place for a more quiet and remote stay. With a little driving there is plenty to do and plenty to see.

The rooms are very nice & comfortable, & are reasonably priced. The area is one of my favorites- the views are incredible & it has close access to the Colorado River. And not far from Jacob Lake cookies & incredible fall color. The food is exceptional. I sometimes drive up from the Phoenix area just for lunch.

The lodge was perfect for our adventure, practice, clean and amazing to study the landscape and stones of the building. We had dinner after an epic sunset and Brooke our server was very friendly and prompt. She offered food suggestions on the menu and was very accommodating to our table requests. I am telling all my friends about this place.

Whenever I drive by (once every several years) I check to see if it's open, and if the timing's right drop on in for great grub. I actually stayed here years ago, and thoroughly loved the whole atmosphere and great 3-meal restaurant.

Our backhaul Captain,Amber was FANTASTIC. She pointed out so many interesting features of the canyon on our backhaul up river. She is a KEEPER. I called a week in advance to let the restaurant know that there would be a large group of us for dinner Thursday. I let them know we would would like chicken wings. I was very disappointed at dinner, at 6pm, when they were all sold out. I had soup for dinner. : ( Over all, front desk, was fantastic, we booked 0730, 6 months in advance, they were able to add rooms, and change backhaul times, and have it all straightened out when we arrived.

Stayed a few nights here in August on both ends of a rafting/camping trip through the Grand Canyon. I had an excellent stay both times - very comfortable and clean rooms, wonderfully warm staff, decent prices, and an incredible location inside the Vermillion Cliffs National Monument! It’s a bit of a remote location (which I loved) but the lodge has everything you could possibly need - a really great on-site restaurant, general store, gas station, and they even do their own guided fishing trips and kayak rentals complete with backhaul drop offs to a launch point of your choice. And even though you’re a bit of a captive audience, their prices are surprisingly pretty reasonable - even for the gas! The lodge is currently split into two sections - one has been recently renovated and one hasn’t. I stayed in a double queen room in the renovated section and a single king room in the non-renovated section. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and very cozy - but I definitely prefer the renovated rooms - simply because they have a superior bathroom layout/shower - The shower in the non-renovated room was very rudimentary- almost like one you’d find in an RV - and there was very little counterspace. And the TVs include an option to log into your streaming apps to watch your fave shows. But the beds were both very comfortable in both rooms - the mattresses felt very supportive but not overly hard - seemed like temperpedic quality. The decor in the renovated rooms is very desert-cowboy-chic - but the non-renovated room was super retro - more like a 70s spaghetti western style lol. There are refrigerators and Keurig coffee makers in all the rooms - renovated and non-renovated alike. All the rooms have outside patio seating but it’s not private. I was next to the restaurant in the non-renovated room and was worried it might be too loud but I didn’t hear a thing - it was peaceful and quiet! Speaking of the restaurant- the food is absolutely fantastic! I ate two dinners here and a breakfast and loved it all. They also have a unique dessert - avocado pie! Highly recommend! Everything here is family owned and all the staff were friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and fully intend to return bc there’s SO much to explore in the area - especially if you love the desert outdoors!

We had a lovely stay before a powerboat trip up the Colorado River. The beds were super comfy. The availability of goods and shwag in the store kept us occupied while waiting for the delicious coffee to kick in for others. We will be back.

We drove 700 miles into Page expecting to find a motel room. None to be found left us scrambling for options. My wife found Cliff Dwellers Lodge, made a phone call and secured 2 rooms. Veronica was very helpful in the office accommodating us. Got check in at 8pm and headed for the restaurant for food and a few drinks to settle the dust. Kaitlyn greeted us at the door and took good care of us with the orders. Food was prepared perfectly and promptly. Rooms were a 9. Beds, pillows, shower were all 10s! Television channels are a bit restricted from normal these days. Internet access was fast. At the suggestion of Sam, the manager, we hiked into White Pocket for an amazing adventure. ( Thanks OnX) Spent 45 minutes at the California Condor site. Very interesting. Liked Cliff Dwellers so well, we decided to extend our stay another night. The place is a gem, hidden in the midst of the Vermillion Cliffs district. Highly recommend!
